Native6 Delivers High-End IPv6 Training & Integration Services

Readies Military and Fortune 500 Companies for Next Generation Internet

Seattle, WA. – December 6, 2004 – Native6, Inc., the leader in professional services for IPv6 education and integration, today announced a comprehensive update to the popular course, Building IPv6 Networks, the completion of a major IPv6 training program for Cisco Systems, the IPv6 Accelerate Program, and the availability of a new Native6 course, IPv6 for Programmers. A key leader in the IPv6 community, Native6 delivers high-end IPv6 training and provides critical integration services to help some of the largest IT and government organizations complete a smooth and cost effective transition to IPv6, the next generation Internet protocol.

“Native6 provided a premium training experience that played a significant role in helping us in educating Navy program personnel who have requirements for transitioning to IPv6, and did so at a competitive price,” said Mark Evans, IPv6 Transition Lead, and Navy IPv6 Project Office. “In particular, Native6's ability to provide professional IPv6 experts and engineering talent as well as high quality instructor staff to deliver educational content at our facility was instrumental in the success of our recent training initiative.”

Building IPv6 Networks

Over the course of 2003 and 2004, Native6 IPv6 experts delivered the Building IPv6 Networks course to several U.S. Department of Defense agencies including the Joint Interoperability Testing Command (JITC), the Army’s Electronic Proving Ground (EPG), the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), the Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Command (MCNOSC) and the Navy IPv6 Project Office, Office of the Chief Engineer, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). In addition, U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine personnel and contractors have participated in the Native6 Building IPv6 Networks Course.

With an exclusive focus on IPv6, Native6 courses cover a broad range of subject matter at a level of depth and understanding unparalleled in the IPv6 education market. The five-day Building IPv6 Networks course has been completely updated and now provides participants with an even more comprehensive overview of the IPv6 protocol, and how it is being supported within the larger network infrastructure. It offers high-end, hands-on IPv6 Instructor Led Training accompanied by extensive lab work. The course is specifically designed for network engineers, systems engineers and architects who are responsible for integrating IPv6 into products, services and networks.

IPv6 Training Materials Development

Native6 was selected as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to create internal training materials for Cisco’s IPv6 Accelerate Program. The Instructor Led Training and e-learning courses are used by Cisco to develop wide spread IPv6 expertise within the company’s world wide sales force. This expertise, in turn, helps the sales force educate customers on Cisco’s IPv6 products and services.

IPv6 for Programmers

As a very broad spectrum technology, IPv6 impacts almost every aspect of the network, the devices attached to it and the applications that run over it. As part of a continued effort to accommodate the growing knowledge deficit that exists in many specialized areas, Native6 recently released a course designed specifically for programmers. The IPv6 for Programmers course benefits programmers, application developers and application architects who are responsible for developing programs and porting existing code to work in an IPv6 environment. Native6 IPv6 experts have delivered the IPv6 for Programmers course to Hewlett-Packard.

“To meet the knowledge needs of IT staff for a successful transition to IPv6, Native6 offers a variety of training solutions,” said Yurie Rich, Native6 President. “Because our people are IPv6 experts and excellent educators, our training yields a high level of knowledge and retention on the subject of IPv6 and therefore improves the success of integration and adoption efforts. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to support forward thinking organizations, such as the U.S. Department of Defense, and companies, such as Hewlett Packard and Cisco Systems, on their IPv6 training initiatives.”
